This was excellent, had better impact having watched in order, is actually a gem from start to finish, brilliantly plotted, tight as a ducks backside, good resolution, great monsters, they look good even in the bright studio. 3 very good cliffhangers, agree end of part 1 is an all time classic. The best music since Simpson, really adds to the story. Adric does not bother me as much as I thought, he is not that bad, it was time for another companion and he is definitely relevant at this stage. There seems to be a lot riding on this story, with Romana going back and they don't make it to Gallifrey, a clever plot device. Well acted, great pace, the Outlers were all good I thought. Tom Baker plays it very season 17 which is nice to see. He really has fun in this story. Well done to Smith and Grimwade. Best since City of Death, better than much of the Williams era, a pleasant surprise. The repeat got double the viewing figures, Buck Rogers must have been good..Linx D Oderanthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06587578831858117637noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5386390949828958591.post-72228779973045904112018-02-14T16:15:36.072-08:002018-02-14T16:15:36.072-08:00Poor Matthew Waterhouse. Shame he was such rubbish, though honestly I didn't find him nearly as insufferable with Baker as he was with Davison. Maybe hero worship can carry you a bit.David Pirtlehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00636601389899125100noreply@blogger.com
