I do sometimes think I'd love to read or listen to a story about him when he was a young warrior doing all the terrible things that made him loathe himself so terribly at the end of his incarnation, but at the same time I'm not sure I'd enjoy those stories. I have to add I was expecting more action. Although it was a good episode and I enjoyed it.

Daniel P.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5386390949828958591.post-55858283679350226722013-11-25T19:15:30.201-08:002013-11-25T19:15:30.201-08:00Glad one of us liked. I feel that the four 50th productions - Night, Adventure, Day, Reboot - are best taken as sort of a trilogy-and-a-half for the whole 50th experience. I haven't seen all of Adventure in Space and Time Yet but the other works are just *sublime*. Moffat has given us the best realistically possible presents we could ever have imagined and that is in no way damning with faint praise. I'd been waiting for Tom Baker to return to Doctor Who for years and I was not disappointed.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5386390949828958591.post-8964342279464673972013-11-25T05:46:03.892-08:002013-11-25T05:46:03.892-08:00You are all right - I've amended the review. I was summoned, wasn't I? An Ood, in the snow, calling to me, weeeeell, I didn't exactly come straight here. Had a bit of fun, y'know? Travelled about. Did this and that. Got into trouble, you know me. It was brilliant, I saw the Phosphorous Carousel of the Great Magellan Gestadt. Saved a planet from the Red Carnivorous Maw. Named a galaxy Alison. Got married, that was a mistake, Good Queen Bess, and let me tell you, her nickname's no longer - anyway! What d'you want?
Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5386390949828958591.post-9209832456485080062013-11-25T01:50:59.076-08:002013-11-25T01:50:59.076-08:00In The Shakespeare Code, it's an older Elizabe...In The Shakespeare Code, it's an older Elizabeth and the Doctor says he hasn't yet done whatever he does to upset her. But by The End of Time, he has. He's also "904" and repeating his speech from Voyage of the Damned. So, for Liz, this is clearly set before Shakespeare, but for the Doctor, I think it's supposed to be between The Waters of Mars and The End of Time.

Also, there was dialogue in the War Room about the High Council being in session, but I agree, it would have been good to see Rassilon again!

Will you be reviewing The Night of the Doctor?AndrewBuckleyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01503879960838202337noreply@blogger.com
