Episode 1 is horrible. By that I mean realistically so. Two characters we have got to know get killed off brutally by the end of episode 1. The cliffhanger was great. You can see why cliffhangers became such an important part of the future for the show. Some of S1's are brilliant, Sensorites #1, Daleks #1, Unearthly Child #1. I love the Hartnell 'skinny' scene, makes me rock even now. He didn't have to get involved and got his just desserts. Again, they did historical much better than sci-fi, The Daleks apart. I would place this 4th in the season below Unearthly Child 3rd, Aztecs 2nd and The Daleks 1st, Sensorites 5th. Well worth a watch, best done in season order with 2 eps at a time as you say. Love the speech at the end. Goosebumps moment.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
