I reckon you are suffering from...Watching in order. I reckon you are suffering from nostalgia as you watched it 1000 times at the age of 10, comparing it to Terror of the Vervoids. I don't blame you, I feel the same about other stories. For me, it's not the best but is in the top 10 or so. Very clever, agree regarding Aubrey Woods. Great character actor, see Blake's 7 Gambit and Willy Wonka. The Daleks were a bit limp to start, but the cliffhangers are great. Evil of the Daleks is better, couldn't watch the new version, needs to be as God intended for me.
