'They're dying, and so are you' being the most unnecessary. Tegans decision would have been easily made by the death of the nameless metal detector man, but also Laird and then she sees the real soldiers dead which must have affected her, she had connected to them, especially the sergeant and Laird. Why didnt someone shout cut when Archer was exterminated, its an embarrassing piece of overacting by Del Henney. The that'll do culture oft mentioned...
Davison has started saying 'interesting' and 'not if i have anything to do with it' in every story.
Molloy steals it for me, Davros is fantastic, the Daleks are menacing, they are dangerous and scary. I like the nods to Destiny. Lytton is a great character. Absolutely criminal to leave Leela out of the clip sequence.
Watch the 4 part version and the end of part 1, the slow zoom to the Doctors face which is missed in the original.
Great music again from Malcolm Clarke.
Really enjoyed this, it wizzed by.

Linx D Oderanthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06587578831858117637noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5386390949828958591.post-1864002442191809402018-02-26T18:10:19.047-08:002018-02-26T18:10:19.047-08:00I didn't ever think of any iteration of the Do...I didn't ever think of any iteration of the Doctor as a pacifist. I'm reminded of that very first Big Finish story, not exactly a belter, but Colin Baker's Doctor does a great job of explaining that all of his iterations share the same traits, just in different measures, him being the most 'pragmatic' of the group.David Pirtlehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00636601389899125100noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5386390949828958591.post-28298492043748534362013-12-10T04:05:04.733-08:002013-12-10T04:05:04.733-08:00People always say that the Doctor shoots a Dalek i...People always say that the Doctor shoots a Dalek in this one but I really don't think he does. He certainly points a pistol at it but everytime I've watched it it's looked to me like he doesn't pull the trigger. It's the Sergeant with the machine gun who shoots the Dalek.Timothy Allanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03099764002315263925noreply@blogger.com
